Dr. Thomas Cahill is an associate professor at the School of Mathematics and Natural Sciences at ASU. His research efforts focus on environmental and analytical chemistry. His goal is to determine the impact of chemicals on ecosystems and organisms and discover antiviral compounds in medicinal plants. Recently, he started researching air quality, particularly determining the source of pollutants in the environment. He has presented his findings at several internationally acclaimed conferences, and his work has appeared in peer-reviewed journals, such as Environmental Toxicology and Chemistry.
Dr. Cahill has a doctorate in environmental sciences and health from the University of Nevada, a master’s in ecology, and a bachelor’s in wildlife and fisheries from the University of California.
Dr. Chenglong Li is the Nicholas Bodor Professor in drug discovery and the professor of medicinal chemistry at the University of Florida. He has extensive real-world experience, having worked as a postdoctoral researcher in structural biology at the Burnham Institute for Medical Research and the Scripps Research Institute as a research associate.
At UF, he teaches or has taught courses such as advanced research; research for doctoral dissertation; supervised research; pharmacotherapy; drug design; and research procedures in medicinal chemistry. Dr. Stefanie K Gazda is an associate instructional professor and the coordinator of the biology online major at the University of Florida.
